Garena Offline Installer
Recently, there has been posts on reddit saying that Garena has a better level up reward system, and that the tribunal is better, and just overall better than what Riot is doing. Me being a player from Garena, am here to give you guys the pros and cons of actually playing in Garena(SG/MY server).

PROS
Ping
I agree, our ping here is AMAZING. On an average day, i get around 18-20 ping. Anything above 30, and I just find it near unplayable. We've always had stable ping, and barely any packet loss, and I'm really grateful for that, comparing it to EUW and NA, where users often get really high ping(of up to 90), or just loads of packet loss, making it impossible to play.
Level Up Rewards
This felt like a gift sent from the heavens. We got free IP, free RP, free champions, a free skin, a free rune page, a free rune and most importantly, we got free IP and XP boosts. This helped tremendously, in our quest to own as many champions as possible, while trying to hit level 30 at the same time.
Daily Task
Recently, we had this daily task event Basically, all we had to do was play a normal or ranked match per day, and we'll collect these 'gears', which we could later redeem for rewards, highest being 100RP, a summoner icon, Zilean and a skin. Free things just for playing the game? I'll take it.
Random skin sales
I'm not really sure if there is a schedule when the skins go on sale, or if other regions such as NA or EU have these kinds of sales, but Garena has them. Just last week I managed to get shockblade Zed for half price. #worth
CONS
Advertising
They advertise EVERYWHERE. On the client, on the Garena+ launcher, and even on their website. Understandable that advertising is kinda necessary for some income, but don't flood us with it.
API
I don't know why Garena doesn't want to release their API. If Riot as the owner can, why can't Garena? They've kept it so secretively, that we have no such thing as OP.GG, or any other similar websites, because the developers just don't have access to our API. Our match history is still the old one, where we just have a very general overview of our score, and no other details. We don't have the new one that Riot has implemented in the other servers, and I have no idea why. If they wanna keep the API, fine, but at least make for us a website similar to OP.GG so we can do a more in depth analysis after our games.
Community
I don't know where to start with this point. The community here is just toxic beyond belief. Verbal abuse, death threats, you name it. There is NO POINT reporting the offenders, because Garena will do NOTHING about it. The last time people got banned, was in February, with only 150 people being banned in one go. The list they released. Garena had stated that they will, and I quote, 'the team will be releasing the Summoners names of banned players this time'. They haven't released any other ban lists as of then. So basically, offenders will get banned once every year/season, and it would most probably be a 3 day ban? Sweet. The best way to deal with verbal abuse? Suck it up and pray that you don't get the same person the next game.
Tribunal
We don't have it. It never existed in our eyes. There is no justice that we can serve. I feel that they could add in a tribunal system, and quite a bit of toxicity in this server could be cleaned up.
E-Sports scene
I don't even know if I should be saying this, as I don't really know much of the E-Sports scene here, but I'll say what I know. I know for a fact, that if there was an event going on, they make sure everyone knows about it. Once again, advertising EVERYWHERE, along with cringe worthy advertising. And I'm sure people remember the 'shitty people with shitty attitude' drama that had happened. There just isn't any professionalism in the E-Sports scene. And recently, the Garena Stadium that we have in Singapore has closed down. Reason of closure? 'However, as online gaming continued to evolve, we have noticed a significant shift in how our gamers want to participate in eSports – from a single location to large-scale offline events in varying locations, more regional online tournaments and higher quality online streaming content.'
Player Support
Now, Riot is a company which really loves and cares for their players. That's really awesome. But here in Garena, that doesn't exist. You want player support? Best bet is to go to the forums, and ask other summoners for help. If you're lucky, a Game Master(Usually referred to as GM, and has equal importance as a Riot employee) will respond to your forum post, linking you back to how to download LoL from scratch. There's no asking for RP with a drawn picture, no funny replies. No 'Riot' feel.
Certain Skins
I find this a bit unfair, as some skins are unavailable to be bought. For example, Gladiator Draven. If I'm not mistaken, this skin could be bought normally in other regions. However for SG, in order to acquire this skin, you had to go for an event, and register for it. Only then will you get credited with the skin. Other wise, no way you're getting this skin, unless it's through mystery box. They force you to attend an event that you don't want to go to, just so you can get a skin you want. Seems pretty irrational.
I may have left out a few pros and cons, so if you have any, feel free to tell me, and I'll add it in.
TL;DR: I feel that Riot really does take care of it's players, and if I could, I would definitely play in Riot servers.
